Portovenere est un ancien village qui se trouve au plus occidentale du Golfe de La Spezia, l'un des villages les plus pittoresques de la côte de La Spezia, dont les origines remontent il ya plusieurs années.

Ses maisons ont été construites selon l'architecture des colonies génoises, avec le double objectif d'habitation et de la défense. Au cours de la règle des Génois également construit les murs ont été renforcés par trois tours et des remparts solides et un imposant château a été construit pour protéger le village.

Portovenere est aujourd'hui un village touristique spectaculaire, l'abondance de beauté naturelle et primitive des bâtiments d'intérêt historique particulier qui a fait que son territoire et les îles de l'archipel en face, a été placé dans le "patrimoine mondial de l'humanité" de UNESCO.

Un des plus évocateurs est la Portovenere Byron Cave, du nom du célèbre poète anglais du XIXe siècle. De ce point vous pouvez tourner dans la ruelle, un étroit et tortueux, passant par le sommet du village.

A la base des maisons peintes avec les couleurs caractéristiques de la Ligurie, la descente est le pays le plus peuplé, où il ya des restaurants, bars et boutiques.

THIS MARINA has been awarded a Blue Flag. The Blue Flag is an environmental award, given to marinas making a special effort concerning good management with respect to the local environment and nature, and providing users with information on environmental issues.

The Blue Flag is awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), a non-governmental environmental organization and is represented by national organizations in each of the participating 25 countries in Europe and South Africa.
The Blue Flag is concerned with four main areas:
1) Environmental education and information
2) Environmental management
3) Safety and service facilities
4)Water quality
The national FEE organization checks the Blue Flag sites during the season.

You can help the Program by also taking actions to protect the environment: Follow instructions of the code of environmental conduct at the marina. Use the most environmentally friendly products for paints, detergents. Report any pollution or other violation of environmental regulations to the authorities. Save water, electricity and fuel. Encourage other sailors to take care of the environment too.
